Arriving at the house

Exercise of a mixed 2D/3D workflow.
Similar to what I've done for the Bonelli Entertainment Animated Logo (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Ar8NJy), this time in full color and with characters.

The animation mixes 3D characters with 2D paintings arranged in a 3D space. Rendered in Blender Eevee.

Just the sky. This was my main focus, with a reference to skies and clouds in anime movies.

The illustration, made in layers, where I painted the 2D pieces.

The 3D layout I made to position all the elements (Blender)

The character. I've made it for another project, with a child illustration look, and I thought it could fit well here.
Animation is made with motion capture though a Rokoko Smartsuit and Smartgloves

With some slight variations, I got the second character on the background
